The Talk, brought to you by the LGBTQ+ Ministry at All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena and hosted by ministry co-leads Thomas Diaz (he/him) and Hannah Earnshaw (they/them), is a monthly guest speaker series featuring LGBTQ+ voices from across the Episcopal Church and beyond. Our guests bring lessons, experience, and wisdom from their lives and work, as we explore from many different angles what it means to be LGBTQ+ people of faith.

May 16, 2022

Ashley Lynn Hengst, recent graduate of Claremont School of Theology and new staffmember at All Saints Church, talks to us about her journey from conservative Evangelicalism to affirming theology, deconstructing harmful faith and reconstructing a healthy faith, taking with us the things that helped us in otherwise toxic spaces, and the importance of not ignoring the Evangelical church in the battle for abortion rights. Originally recorded in May 2022.
