The Talk, brought to you by the LGBTQ+ Ministry at All Saints Episcopal Church in Pasadena and hosted by ministry co-leads Thomas Diaz (he/him) and Hannah Earnshaw (they/them), is a monthly guest speaker series featuring LGBTQ+ voices from across the Episcopal Church and beyond. Our guests bring lessons, experience, and wisdom from their lives and work, as we explore from many different angles what it means to be LGBTQ+ people of faith.

May 4, 2021

The Rev. Dr. Austin Leininger, rector of Calvary Episcopal Church in Santa Cruz and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community at the local and diocesan levels, talks to us about their long journey towards coming out as trans-non-binary, combating the burden of shame placed upon members of the LGBTQ+ community, and the importance of having language to describe both ourselves and the fullness of God. Originally recorded in April 2021.
